7 Weird Beauty Rituals That Work

You may have never thought about these beauty hacks, but they may change your routine.

Exfoliating your armpits – Think about it: your underarms really don’t get any love besides when you wash them and when you’re slathering them with deodorant. Exfoliating your pits helps to remove dead skin and buildup, and it helps with BO, which is crucial in the upcoming summer months.

Conditioning your eyebrows – We all condition the hair on our head, and our eyebrows are made of hair too. So why don’t condition them? Slather your brows with conditioner and get ready for softer, more manageable brows.

Using hair glue on your fake lashes – If you’ve ever struggled to keep your fake lashes on your face all night, you should consider making the switch to hair glue. Hair glue is stronger than regular lash glue, and you won’t have to worry about your lashes coming off while you dance to Work in the club.

Shaving your face – I know you read this and did a double take but just hear me out. Shaving your face leads to a smoother application of makeup, because you won’t have those little hairs peeking through your foundation. Additionally, shaving your face is like an (extreme) version of exfoliating. When you shave, you remove the top layer of skin and while scary sounding, this will make your face as smooth as a baby’s bottom.

Putting baby powder on your lashes to make them longer – Put on one layer of mascara, dip your finger or spoolie in baby powder, apply to your lashes, then add another layer of mascara. If the baby powder is too messy for you, cotton balls (yes, cotton balls!), work just as well. Break up the cotton ball and attach the fibers to your lashes, then apply mascara as usual.

Using Nair to do your brows – What if I told you there was a painless alternative to shape your brows? Just put the hair removal cream on the areas where you want to shape your brows, wait for about 5 minutes, remove the cream, and voila – beautiful brows.

Storing your face cream in the fridge – If you suffer from puffy under eyes, the fridge is going to be your new best friend. Put your face and eye cream in the fridge overnight, and wake up to a deliciously cold cream that will help minimize your puffs even more. In the summer time, you can also store your body lotion in the fridge to help with the heat.

Xoxo,
