These Are The Beauty Products You Need For The Summer

Hi guys!

Summer is right around the corner (summer equinox, where you at), and I’m sure you guys have been busy getting your bathing suits ready and finalizing travel plans. And of course, you can’t forget the beauty.

Summer beauty can be tricky – you want to look done up but not TOO done up, you want to look bronzed and glowy without looking sweaty, and you have to factor in things like chlorine, saltwater, and sand. Well gals and guys, I have some items that will have you looking summer time fine all season long.

Skin –  Of course, I’m starting this list off with sunscreen. There are so many varieties out there, so I suggest checking out this handy article so you can pick your fave. I’ll also be doing a Neutrogena sunscreen review, so stay on the look out for that. Also, let’s be real here:  we all tend to get a little lax with our skin routines during the summer, and mustering up the energy to take off your makeup after a day frolicking in the sun can be a particular bother. That’s why you should reach for micellar water wipes. They have all the benefits of micellar water, but in a handy wipe.

Body – I’ve talked about body scrubs a million times before, mostly because they really do make a difference in the look and feel off your skin. They also help prep your body before tanning or shaving. Lush is my go-to for scrubs of all kind, especially they’re Rough With the Smooth scrub. Another body issue? Cellulite. Personally, I believe that you can’t spell cellulite without the word “lit” and I hate that women are demonized for what is a natural body condition. However, the summer time can lead a lot of us, including me, to feel more self-conscious about the way that our body looks. If you don’t like the appearance of your cellulite, you can use a cellulite massager to stimulate your skin.

Hair – Leave-in conditioner is a jack of all trades. Use some in your hair before heading to the pool or the beach to protect your hair and scalp from saltwater, chlorine and sun damage. After some fun in the sun, rinse out for soft locks. It’s also fun to experiment with your hair during the summer, and sprayable hair color is a game changer. It makes it easy to change your hair color without the commitment of a permanent dye job.

Makeup – Glowing skin and eyes is favorite beauty look in the summertime, and if you need a new product to give you that highlighted link, look no further than Fenty Beautys newest palettes. The Killawatt Foils are a bit more shimmery than the regular Killawatt shadows, and they work on eyes, lips, and skin. Setting spray is a must have to set makeup during hot and humid months, and Urban Decay has recently released a new product, called the Chill Cooling and Hydrating Makeup Setting Spray, which claims to set makeup while also chilling the surface of your makeup. You can also use the spray to cool down during the day.
