Hi guys and happy fall! We’re officially in the best season of the year (in my humble opinion), and I’m so happy. While it doesn’t feel like fall yet, be rest assured that cooler temperatures will be here before you know it. One of the best parts of fall is the fashion, so read on for the trends that you need to know about before everyone else does.

Remember when velvet came through in 2016 and stole everyone’s hearts? Well, the trend hasn’t slowed down at all, and velvet is in more places now than ever. The fabric can be seen on everything from pants to bags to shoes.

Say goodbye to millennial pink and hello to show-stopper red. The vibrant shade was all over runways this past season.

We’ve cropped tops, pants, and now we’re cropping our hoodies. Cropped hoodies range from just slightly cropped to all-the-way-up cropped, so choose which style works best for you.

Oversize blazers have been all over the street style blogs, and my fave fashion girl Rihanna has been seen sporting the trend as well. Just keep the rest of your outfit tailored and simple.

PVC and lucite are having a major moment right now. The trend is most seen in the heels of ankle boots, but you can also find pumps and knee high boots that showcase the trend.

 

The highlighter trend has hit all other types of makeup. Expect to see glitter in your lip gloss, eyeshadow, and pretty much everywhere.

Remember when Baby Phat & Rocawear puffer coats were all the rage? Like all trends in fashion, this one is back. Some celebs (aka Rihanna again) have worn VERY puffy puffer jackets, but these are a bit more practical for everyday.
