Review – Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint

on

Hi guys! It feels so good to write those words because it has been forever. From dealing with some personal issues to honestly feeling a bit uninspired with my writing, the past couple of months have been a bit rough, but I’m back! And what better way to return than with another Fenty Beauty review.

I got this Stunna Lip Paint Longer Fluid Lip Color for my birthday and I was super excited to try it. I’m not a really a fan of red lipstick, but Rihanna had marketed this lip paint as the perfect shade for everyone, so I trusted her. (In Bad Gal Riri we trust).

The container that the lip paint is in is really cool, and it reminded me of the Christian Louboutin nail polishes. The applicator is really nice as well, as it has a curve in it that mimics the curve of your lips.

I decided to test the lip paint based on the following categories:

Color – This is a true TRUE red. Very bold and in your face. This lip paint is so bold, in fact, that if you don’t have a full face of makeup on, it’ll make the rest of your face look dull. I’m usually a BB cream user, so when I use this lippie I need to make sure to use a fuller coverage foundation. This is also a lip color that you want to use a lip brush with. Because the color is so vibrant, any mistake will show on your face.

Feel – This lip paint feels like nothing on your lips. Honestly. It’s super comfortable and doesn’t give you that dry feeling that some liquid lipsticks give you. I wouldn’t go so far as to call it moisturizing, but it’s definitely a good choice for all-day wear.

Durability – To test the durability of this lippie, I first wore it to sleep. Yes, that’s right, in my bed, 8 hours. I wanted to see how it would hold up to my turning and tossing. In the morning, the color on my lips were definitely faded, but it was a better than a lot of other lipsticks. I’ll give it a 6/10 for that.

Transferring – When wearing the lip paint in regular life, I found that it came off on my plastic water bottle, but it didn’t come off that much on my plastic cup. When eating, my bottom lip wore off a lot sooner than my top lip. However, one thing that I need to bring up is the actual application. I previously mentioned using a lip brush to apply, and that is because if you use your fingers to blot, you will end up with red EVERYWHERE.  On my fingers, on my arm, on my doorframe. While it dries down pretty quickly, in the initial seconds after application, it is truly a paint that will stain anything that you let it touch.

Reapplying – A lot of times when you reapply a liquid lipstick, the layer on the bottom gets all crunchy and gross and the top layer starts to look funny. However, this lippie reapplies like a dream.
